Most young or inexperienced developers appear to become trapped or irritated when learning software development, which results in them attempting to memorize or learn everything at the same time in the early stages of their programming journey. Now the challenge is, how can I learn without being stuck?
The race is won through consistency in practice. Memorizing code or attempting to understand everything will lead to frustration. There is even no need to memorize code because one thing can be done in many ways. It’s just to understand the dynamics of the programming language, always do more with the basics and try to put things together by practising. Believe me, the more problems you solve, the more you find yourself in programming.

At one point, you’ll be able to just pick up a piece of code and understand everything the author is trying to do. You’ll also be able to identify bugs very quickly. It takes practice, consistency, and patience. Don’t forget, programming related fields take at least four years at university, so if you can take two years to get really good at it, then you have really done well.

You can’t learn how to code in just a few months. You’ll hurt yourself because your relationship with programming won’t be that strong. And believe me, you’ll easily forget things and get confused about what to code. That’s what always makes some people believe they can’t code and quit.

When you start forgetting things, it’s because you haven’t known them for long. When you solve a particular problem over and over again, it becomes part of you. That’s nature.

Even the greatest genius also forget things a lot. Naturally, if you do something with code just once and never do it again, chances are over 95% of programmers will forget it. Some people, while starting programming, even forget basic syntax and keywords. Some even count parenthesis and curly braces wrongly.

You’re not the only one facing that. Most or even all programmers out there face this problem once they stop practising. That’s why codding seems like an addiction, but only those in the field can actually understand it. Never push too hard, take a rest when you need to, and make Google your best friend.
